The Princess of Wales used her first speech in public in two years to call for a greater amount of dignity for carers and a better balance in workplaces to prioritise family life. ‘Invisible’ carers
The princess said she believed in restoring dignity to the work of carers, highlighting that these roles are often ‘invisible’ to many. Speaking at the Future Workforce Summit, she said that this was key to creating a healthier and happier society.
Catherine’s speech was part of her campaign to increase awareness about the importance of healthy family relationships and early childhood. It was the first public speech she had made since her cancer diagnosis, which was revealed in 2024.
